Job summary

Prime Life is seeking a Night Care Assistant for a full-time position at The Old Rectory in Stickney, Lincolnshire. The role includes caring for residents with a range of needs and supporting daily activities in a 7-day schedule.

Full training is provided, and candidates should be patient, compassionate and able to work as part of a dedicated team to enhance residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is desirable, but full training is provided.
• Residents may have age-related conditions, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health conditions.
• Role requires patient, understanding and respectful approach to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and getting to bed.
• Carry out routine welfare checks overnight to ensure safety.
• Support residents with dining to maintain nutrition and hydration.
• Encourage safe mobility using mobility aids and equipment.
• Provide friendship and companionship to residents.
• Keep accurate records and complete documentation.
• Collaborate with the care team to promote residents’ well-being.
• Welcome family members.

Prime Life are on the lookout for passionate and dedicated care professionals to join our friendly team as a Night Care Assistant, on afull time basis. At present, we have several vacancies available and are keen to meet with candidates as soon as possible for interviews.

Thisrole will be based at The Old Rectory in Stickney, Lincolnshire. The home has been specially designed to cater tothe everyneed of 42residents, living with a range of age-related conditions, physical disabilities, learning disabilitiesand mental health conditions, and as such require dignified support from our caring team. Additionally, some of our residents live with Dementia.The home focuses onreablingresidents to achieve maximum independence and recovery following physical and mental illness.It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.

Responsibilities of our Full timeNight Care Assistantinclude:

• Assisting residents with their personal hygiene and retiring to bed for the evening
• Completing routine welfare checks throughout the night to ensure residents are safe and well
• Supporting residents to dine and maintain good nutrition and hydration as required
• Encouraging residents to mobilise safely around the home, with the support of mobility aids and specialist equipment
• Providing friendship and companionship to residents
• Maintaining accurate and timely written records and completing documentation
• Being a part of a multi-disciplinary team and engaging with other care professionals, as and when required, to promote the health and well-being of our residents

To be successful within this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Though prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is desirable, this is not essential as full training is provided. Typically, our residents live with age related conditions, life-limiting health conditions, mental health conditions and physical disabilities that require dignified support from our care team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.
