Job description

A calm and positive Nanny is being sought by a welcoming family of four near Berkeley, Gloucestershire.

This position is Monday-Friday, during the term times (31 weeks of the year) hours of work will be 1-6.30pm and during school holidays (21 weeks of the year) 9am-6pm. During the term time before school pick ups there will be time to carry out some light household duties, mainly related to the children e.g. laundry, ironing, running errands, keeping on top of cleaning and tidying of children’s toys, managing children’s wardrobe and preparing healthy, nutritious meals for the children. They would like the Nanny to do a weekly meal plan and order the food for the children’s meals so a confident cook is required.

The 6 year old enjoys sports, especially football and the 4 year old enjoys arts and crafts. She starts school in September so it would be useful if you have worked with children of this age transitioning to school to help her prepare. You will be required to organise playdates, support with any homework, planning day trips in the holidays and provide fun educational activities as well as letting the children initiate the play. they would like the Nanny to accompany them on holidays sometimes but this is not essential. There may also be occasional babysitting or overnight care required. The family’s current Nanny has been with them for 4 happy years and they are now looking for another long term nanny to become a part of their friendly family. this is a great opportunity for a junior Nanny or someone keen to start their Nanny career from working in a nursery setting.
