The Role
A professional family based in the Bagnall /ST9 area of Staffordshire is seeking a full-time nanny to provide high-quality, sole charge care for their son, who will be 15 months old at the start of the role. This is a position for an experienced nanny who is confident in supporting the learning and development of toddlers through creative play and nurturing care.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 7:00pm. From February 2026, the nanny will be required to work extended hours on Mondays and Tuesdays (until 9:00pm) to accommodate a short term change in the family's schedule for 7 months. Flexibility will be appreciated, and the family is happy to consider candidates available to start between September and November 2025.
The role is offered on either a live-in or live-out basis. Due to the homes semi-rural location, a driving licence is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
About the Family
The family lives in a peaceful, semi-rural area of Bagnall , Staffordshire, surrounded by countryside and close to the Peak District, Cheshire, Derbyshire, and the Midlands. Their son is a bright, curious, and gentle little boy who enjoys puzzles, books, Montessori-style activities, and being outdoors. He is beginning to walk, learning to swim, and developing his speech.
He can be shy with new people, so the family is seeking a nanny with a calm, warm, and friendly manner who can gently encourage his confidence and independence. The nanny must be an English speaker with the ability to support his language development and engage in thoughtful, creative play.
The household is non-smoking and pet-free. A cleaner is employed weekly. The parents are supportive and respectful of the nanny's role and value someone who is open, proactive, and communicative.
If live-in, the nanny will be provided with a private bedroom . The house will have typical amenities and off-road parking. In late 2026, the family plans to move into a new build home in ST9 , which may offer the nanny an en-suite bedroom and access to a large garden.
