Job summary

Plume Academy is seeking a full-time Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to teach French and Spanish across Key Stages 3-5, providing professional leadership to students in the subject area by offering high quality teaching, and undertaking pastoral duties as a tutor. All staff are encouraged to contribute to the academy's extracurricular programme. Start date: 4 January 2027.

The post is fixed term for 12 months. Interviews will be held in the week commencing 12 October 2026.

Qualifications

• QTS and a degree in a relevant subject.
• Ability to teach both French and Spanish to at least Year 9.
• Strong examination outcomes, particularly at key stage four.

Responsibilities

• Teach French and Spanish across KS3-5, providing high-quality teaching.
• Provide professional leadership to the MFL subject area.
• Undertake tutor pastoral duties and contribute to extracurricular programmes.
