Job summary

Hub Chartered Accountants is seeking a motivated Junior Bookkeeper to support a varied portfolio of clients, covering bookkeeping, VAT, payroll support and client service. The role offers hands-on experience and clear progression paths.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 or 4 or equivalent for accounting support.
• Experience in bookkeeping within a practice or industry is desirable.
• Familiarity with VAT processes and basic payroll tasks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Reconciling bank, credit card, PayPal, Shopify, Amazon and other online accounts
• Supporting clients with bookkeeping systems and queries
• Assisting with payroll and HMRC correspondence
• Supporting accounts preparation and tax-related work
• Identifying discrepancies and improving processes

The Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Bookkeeper to support a varied portfolio of clients. Alongside bookkeeping, you will gain hands‑on experience in VAT, payroll, client support, and wider accountancy services, with excellent opportunities for progression.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• VAT return preparation
