Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Full Time Groom to join a small, well-established team on a private yard with a maximum of 5-6 horses, including hunters, dressage horses, and ponies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with high standards to work in a professionally run yard prioritizing horse welfare.

The team always includes two full-time grooms to ensure days off are covered and weekends are shared fairly. The yard boasts excellent facilities, including an indoor arena, ideal for winter days.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience in the equine industry, with skills in clipping, plaiting, trimming, and competition preparation. The candidate should have excellent first aid skills, be confident handling competition horses on the ground, and comfortable hacking out.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and maintains the yard, stables, tack, and arenas throughout the seasons. Reliability, punctuality, a good work ethic, and a friendly personality are essential.

Work hours are based on a 4.5-day week, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Accommodation is available if needed, and a well-behaved dog and partner are welcome. Lorry driving skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
