Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a Geography Teacher for a secondary school in the Wigan area from January 2027 until July 2027. The role covers planning and delivering Geography lessons, with responsibilities across physical and human geography, data interpretation and map skills.

Candidates with QTS or an equivalent qualification are invited to apply. This is a full-time post from January to July 2027, with competitive daily rates and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Geography.
• Ability to deliver Geography within a secondary school setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons.
• Teach physical and human Geography, including processes and global issues.
• Develop pupils' geographical knowledge, analytical skills and understanding.
• Support geographical enquiry, data interpretation and map skills.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
• Prepare pupils for assessments and examinations.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and a productive learning environment.
• Collaborate with departmental colleagues.
