Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a fluent Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant for a Welsh-medium primary school in Abergavenny. The role is full-time and long-term, starting ASAP, and involves one-to-one support for a pupil throughout the school day.

You will work closely with teaching staff to support learning and development, bringing patience, strong communication and a supportive approach in a Welsh-language environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh language ability is required.
• Experience in education or childcare settings.
• Ability to work one-to-one with a pupil.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Welsh-speaking primary school in Abergavenny who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school provides a Welsh-medium learning environment and is looking for a fluent Welsh speaker who can provide consistent and supportive one-to-one assistance.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis starting ASAP. The successful Teaching Assistant will work one-to-one with a pupil, providing individual support throughout the school day and working closely with teaching staff to support the pupil's learning and development.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Fluent spoken Welsh
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
• Confidence working with a pupil on a one-to-one basis
• The ability to commit to a full-time, long-term role
• A patient and supportive approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
