Job summary

Trust Education is recruiting for a Full Time Cover Supervisor in Wakefield on a temporary basis, starting ASAP. You will supervise pre‑planned lessons across multiple subjects, support pupil engagement, and work with staff to ensure smooth lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.

The ideal candidate will have experience with children in educational settings, strong classroom management, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting pupils across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Be confident, adaptable and able to supervise lessons independently.
• Have strong communication and organisational skills.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pre-planned lessons across multiple subjects.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment and monitor pupil engagement.
• Manage behaviour effectively and provide support to pupils during lessons.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure lessons run smoothly in the absence of the regular teacher.
