Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for a new challenge?
Do you have the confidence and classroom presence to keep learning on track – even when the usual teacher isn’t in the room?

We’re looking for a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor to join our team at a vibrant and forward-thinking partnership secondary school in Wallasey from September 2025.

What You’ll Be Doing – Daily Responsibilities

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of education across the school.

Every day, you’ll:

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and key stages.
• Ensure students remain on task, engage with learning, and follow school expectations for behaviour and effort.
• Maintain a calm, safe, and focused classroom environment, using your behaviour management skills to support learning.
• Liaise with teaching staff and heads of department to feedback on lesson engagement and student behaviour.
• Provide occasional 1:1 or small group support, as directed, to reinforce key learning or help students catch up.
• Be a visible, approachable, and reliable presence around school – from classrooms to corridors to cover rooms.

Essential experience includes:

• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to engage and motivate students across a range of subjects and year groups.
• A calm, flexible, and resilient approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people’s education and wellbeing.

This role is not suitable for candidates without prior classroom experience.
