Job Description:

Full Stack Engineer

Build Bold Technology. Make a Meaningful Impact.

Are you an experienced software engineer looking for more purpose in your work? Do you thrive in dynamic, start-up environments where your voice and skills truly matter? Excited by developing cutting-edge products that push boundaries and deliver real-world change? If so, read on.

Why This Role is Great

Our client is a fast-growing Tech for Good start-up, born from world-class research and backed by serious ambition. They are developing a next-generation hardware-software product that combines deep tech innovation with real human impact. As part of a small, capable team, you will work at the forefront of product engineering—shaping architecture, setting standards, and helping scale the solution to market.

This role is for someone who wants to build, not just maintain. Someone who wants to own problems, not just follow tickets.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Contribute to the design and development of a groundbreaking new product from scratch.
  • Lead in shaping the software architecture across the entire stack.
  • Collaborate with UX, hardware, compliance, and product teams.
  • Write clear, scalable, and maintainable code—thinking ahead.
  • Pair-program and mentor to foster a strong internal engineering culture.
  • Embrace the ambiguity and excitement of early-stage tech development.

About You

This role suits someone who values autonomy, is energized by deep tech, and wants their work to make a difference. You will work with innovative minds, solving technical challenges with elegance and purpose.

The wish list includes:

  • Significant experience in software engineering (5+ years preferred).
  • Broad understanding of modern development practices, tools, and full-stack architecture.
  • Experience building mobile apps—Swift experience is a bonus but not essential.
  • Comfortable working in Agile, collaborative environments.
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, architecture, and clean code principles.
  • Effective communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Bonus for a mathematical or analytical background; curiosity and problem-solving are highly valued.

If you're excited about the mission and have transferable skills, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every point.

What’s in It for You

This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to shape the future of impactful technology.

  • Flexible hours with hybrid work options.
  • Lunch and dinner when working late.
  • Team outings and retreats, from outreach to off-sites.
  • Location near a major tube line, with access to facilities like a gym and climbing wall.
  • Access to a workshop with 3D printers and CNC machines for projects.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Our client and Humand Talent are committed to diversity and inclusion. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and experiences. If you believe you'd thrive here, we want to hear from you—even if you're unsure about every point.
