Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in the United Kingdom seeks a Software Engineer II to join a Commercial and Investment Banking agile team responsible for delivering secure, scalable software components within a modern technology stack.

You will contribute to design, development, testing and troubleshooting across the SDLC, while leveraging AI-assisted tooling to drive code quality and speed, in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience with React Js, Java, Spring Boot microservices, Oracle databases and Kafka messaging.
• Experience across design, development and testing within SDLC.
• Exposure to enterprise CI/CD, security and application resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Writes secure and high-quality code with minimal guidance.
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems.
• Applies troubleshooting to solve problems of basic complexity.
• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and secure coding.
• Uses SDLC tools and automation to improve value of development work.
• Gathers and analyzes large data sets to inform secure, stable application development.
• Learns system processes and practices for secure code and systems development.
• Contributes to an inclusive team culture.
