Kooth offers an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing social enterprise focused on digital mental health support across the UK.

As the UK's largest digital mental health platform for young people aged 10-25, in partnership with the NHS, Kooth leverages insights from over one million hours of professional support to guide users to appropriate help options.

Role Objective

The Engineer II is a key technical contributor, working under guidance to impact product and business objectives positively.

What you’ll be doing
  • Designing and building RESTful Node APIs, React frontends, and React Native mobile apps.
  • Releasing functional software regularly, employing trunk-based development, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Ensuring performance, resilience, observability, maintainability, security, and accessibility.
  • Collaborating across disciplines to build effective relationships.
  • Aligning with team to understand user needs and organizational goals.
  • Enhancing industry knowledge through best practices and knowledge sharing.
  • Developing code individually and via pairing.
  • Supporting onboarding and mentoring junior team members.
  • Participating in out-of-hours on-call rotations.
