Job description

Join Axon and be a Force for Good.

At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.

Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Your Impact

As a Full Stack Engineer on the team, you will help bring FUSUS real-time crime center capabilities to law enforcement agencies across the globe. We're scaling fast, over 200 agencies already use this platform, and your work will directly extend the reach of this life-saving technology.

In this role, you'll contribute to backend services that connect FUSUS and Evidence.com, and frontend interfaces that bring data to life for real-time response teams. You’ll help design and deliver distributed systems and highly usable web applications with clean, efficient code, and play a part in shaping the next generation of public safety software.

This team is currently contributing to two company-level goals and is growing in both size and impact. You'll work alongside skilled engineers in a tight-knit, cross-functional team responsible for integrations, data pipelines, real-time system interactions, and intuitive front-end experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient backend services and APIs
  • Build modern, intuitive frontend interfaces for public safety operators and analysts
  • Own feature development from design through to production deployment
  • Collaborate across teams (frontend, backend, hardware, product) to ensure platform reliability and user impact
  • Help integrate and scale FUSUS real-time systems across global Axon products
  • Contribute to service and system architecture for high-scale, distributed environments
  • Use and improve existing tools, frameworks, and engineering practices

What You Bring

  • 4–5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and system design
  • Experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and a modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
  • Backend experience with Java, Go, Python (Django), C#, Kotlin, or Scala
  • Experience with distributed systems, event streaming (e.g., Kafka), and relational/non-relational databases (e.g., Postgres, Azure SQL)
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and drive solutions forward
  • A flexible mindset and comfort working in evolving environments
  • Interest in solving real-world problems that matter — we’re here to protect life

Benefits That Benefit You

  • Competitive Base Salary
  • Annual Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit Eligibility
  • Comprehensive Pension Plan with Matching Contribution
  • 30 days paid holiday in addition to UK public holidays
  • Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Leave for all employees
  • Private Health Insurance
  • Cash Plan including Dental, Optician and Therapeutic Treatment Plans
  • GymPass Subscription
  • Life assurance (x4 Annual Salary)
  • Group income Protection
  • Employee Assistance & Development Programs
