Job description

We’re hiring a Software Engineer to support the transformation of the UK’s Suspicious Activity Reporting Service (SARS) — a national platform at the centre of how financial intelligence is used to combat serious and organised crime.

This is a long-term engagement within a secure environment, offering the opportunity to enhance your existing clearance while working on a service with direct operational and strategic importance to law enforcement and financial crime prevention.

Key Skills & Experience:

- Frontend & API development: Node.js, React / NextJS, Typescript, Docker

- Backend: Azure Functions, ExpressJS

- Search and orchestration: Elasticsearch, Kubernetes

- Knowledge of: RBAC, document-level security, audit, monitoring, and release management

- Experience with secure delivery frameworks, ideally GDS or equivalent

Role Details:

- Hybrid working (on-site 1-3 days per week - at least to begin with)

- Multi year programme

- Minimum SC clearance required to be considered
