Job Description

Location: Remote

If you’re an ambitious and highly competent Web Developer with PHP, REACT, JS, and WordPress experience, then keep reading.

We’re building the future of Burst Statistics, a privacy-friendly analytics plugin for WordPress. Our plugin helps users track their website traffic without collecting personal data — so they stay in control.

It’s simple, lightweight, and runs entirely on their own server. No third-party tracking, no complicated setup, and no data leaving their site.

Joining as the third member of Burst Statistics, you’ll be a self-starter with effective and responsive communication. Working alongside the original founders, you’ll be developing new features and additions for our product roadmap.

The day-to-day role:
  1. Collaborate with others on our codebase to implement new features, bug fixes, and improvements
  2. Test and produce testing guides for your code
  3. Manage your own time to fulfill your tasks
  4. Research/debug problems on your own or in collaboration with other developers and our support team

Your exact responsibilities will depend on your experience.

You’ll definitely need experience with:
  • PHP – the core language of WordPress, and strong skills in this area are essential.
  • WordPress plugin development or solutions built around WordPress.
It would be nice if you also have:
  • GitHub / GitLab / Git experience – nice to have, but can be learned quickly by good developers used to alternatives like SVN.
  • Experience prefetching data and optimizing plugin performance.
  • A solid understanding of MySQL.
  • An interest in Data & Data Visualization.

If we’ve captured your interest, we would love to hear from you.
