Job description

At Kramp, we are driving innovation by accelerating the adoption of AI across our organization, increasing productivity, and transforming the way our teams work: faster, easier, and more automated through the development of lightweight GenAI applications. We’re looking for a hands-on builder who thrives on fast iteration, can develop clean frontends, but brings real strength in the backend and cloud orchestration, especially in the context of deploying GenAI-powered tools across the business.

Your role
You will design and deliver small to medium-sized GenAI apps end-to-end, with a strong focus on bootstrapping back-end logic, secure deployment in Google Cloud, and enabling AI-native workflows. You will also empower business teams by providing tools and guidance that enable them to independently develop and deploy their own lightweight apps and websites. You'll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, ensuring that technical solutions directly support strategic goals and enhance day-to-day productivity across teams. Your work allows business teams to validate concepts fast, but also scale those concepts into production when they succeed.

You’ll work with LLM coding assistants like Cursor/ Windsurf and tools like OpenAI/ Gemini to accelerate development, so having solid dev instincts and AI affinity is a must.

Your responsibilities

Back-End Engineering
Design and build robust APIs, implement business logic, and connect large language models (LLMs) via tool/function calling. Work primarily with Python (FastAPI) or Node.js to ensure scalable and maintainable back-end services. Experience handling and processing large datasets efficiently is key.

Cloud Deployment & Infrastructure
Deploy and manage applications using Google Cloud Platform tools such as Cloud Run, Cloud Build, BigQuery, and Vertex AI. Handle access control and security through IAM roles and Service Accounts.

Rapid Prototyping & Delivery
Quickly build and iterate on prototypes with scalability in mind. Set up CI/CD pipelines, implement logging and monitoring, manage secrets, and optimize for performance and cost efficiency from the start.

Business Collaboration & Insight Translation
Work directly and proactively with cross-functional stakeholders across various functional areas to deeply understand business needs and explore how Kramp functions. Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decisions and drive business value.

Front-End Integration Support
Build lightweight front-ends using eg. React/Next.js, focusing on functionality, user flow, and smooth integration with back-end services. You can quickly spin up simple, functional UIs (v0) to accelerate testing and iteration. Pixel-perfect design isn’t required; front-end experience is beneficial, but your strength in back-end and cloud comes first.

Your team
You’ll join a small but growing team with the mission to accelerate Kramp's adoption of AI at a rapid rate, not just through presentations and trainings, but by delivering tangible business cases. We operate at the cutting edge of innovation and AI adoption, working alongside 3,500 international colleagues. Join us on a journey where strategy meets innovation, your insights shape our vision, and where “It’s that easy” becomes reality.

Who are you?

We’re looking for a pragmatic full-stack engineer who is a real team player!

You hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

You are a hands-on builder with wide development skills and deep expertise in deploying AI-based apps in the cloud.

You have more than 5 years of experience building and deploying web apps primarily leveraging Python (FastAPI) or Node.js for the back-end, alongside React/Next.js on the front-end. (front-end experience is beneficial, but your strength in back-end and cloud comes first)

You have experience with (Google) Cloud: Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Build, IAM, Terraform.

You understand the full lifecycle: from prototyping, versioning, CI/CD, to monitoring and user testing.

You communicate clearly with both engineers and business stakeholders and thrive in a fast-moving, iterative environment.

You are eager to drive innovation across our organization leveraging technology.
