Our clients include a leading charity and the UK’s largest Housing Association with 100,000 properties. We are revenue generating, and have an AI-forward platform, which integrates cutting-edge AI with WhatsApp to create easy-to-use powerful AI workflows. The role:

We are looking for a highly motivated mid-level full stack developer to join our growing team, targeting a “founding engineer” capacity. This role suits someone who likes end-to-end ownership and driving / owning multi-component systems. You should be comfortable navigating early-stage ambiguity, taking ownership, and jumping into messy code when needed. You will have worked in a couple of (early-stage) startups before. You will be working with our existing developer, and we have expansion plans within the next 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the founders to bring new products to life
• Own the development and deployment of AI-powered workflow solutions, and integrating them into the existing platform
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AI trends to enhance service offerings and proof-of-concepts
• Write clean and efficient code in Python and JavaScript.
• Maintain and improve API integrations with messaging platforms like Twilio.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues to ensure smooth operations
• Contribute to existing frontend and backend applications as well as take on "greenfield" projects
• Can adapt to and enjoy working with early-stage startup iteration

Key Requirements:

• Startup experience
• 3 - 5 years career experience

• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript (We use FastAPI and Express.js for the backend of our applications and React for the frontend so experience with any of these frameworks is a plus).
• Experience with or strong interest in learning frameworks for building AI applications (i.e Langchain, Langgraph, Autogen, VertexAI, etc)
• Understanding of modern web communication protocols, including REST APIs, WebSockets, and webhooks
• Understanding of Git and GitHub for version control
• Decent understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and cloud services (GCP)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment and collaborate effectively.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to WhatsApp API, Twilio, or similar communication platforms.
• Experience with deployment to cloud runtime environments (We use Cloud Run and App Engine)
• Experience having taken ownership of end-to-end systems
• Able to take abstract problems/product ideas and break them down into clear, actionable technical solutions
• Previous projects using any of our technologies or AI (either LLM APIs or frameworks)
• AI passion projects
