Role Summary

Join our exceptional team as a Full-Stack Engineer and be part of a growing group of skilled software engineers, data modellers, and quant analysts. Together, we're driving the development and maintenance of LCCC's digital platform, powering applications like settlements tools, forecasting systems, calculation engines, data portals, and more. Contribute to the UK's Net Zero by 2050 goal, collaborating with diverse project teams in nuclear, hydrogen, solar, and tidal power generation areas. Key Responsibilities

• This role is very hands-on with coding; you should be comfortable getting involved directly.
• Design scalable software solutions to enhance functionality and system longevity.
• Collaborate with technical business analysts and solution architects to refine requirements and ensure feasible developer tasks and Jira tickets.
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Develop new user-facing features using frameworks such as React.js (other frameworks considered).
• Create modules that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Build and review reusable components and front-end libraries.
• Maintain and improve existing applications.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to foster innovation.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• At least 3 years’ experience coding in a Python web framework, preferably Django.
• Experience with container tools like Docker and Docker Compose.
• RESTful API development and management.
• Proactive performance tuning.
• Understanding of design patterns and implementation models.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools such as GitLab, CI/CD, Jenkins, build pipelines, and source control.
• Working knowledge of cloud services (preferably AWS): computing, storage, networking, security, IAM.
• Ability to contribute to the wider engineering team.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, especially in explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements.
• Knowledge of other languages (e.g., C#, C).
