Job summary

Kpler is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and operate responsive web apps and backend APIs delivering real-time trade intelligence for global markets. You’ll work across frontend interfaces and microservices, turning complex datasets into impactful features for maritime analytics.

You will collaborate with product, design, and data science teams to deliver scalable software, with emphasis on performance, reliability, and modern AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, Vue, React and familiarity with micro front end architectures.
• Hands-on experience building backend microservices and APIs with Python (FastAPI) or Node.js.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), containerization (Docker), and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong fundamentals in relational or NoSQL database design, API design patterns, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and maintain modern web applications using TypeScript with Vue/React and Python (FastAPI).
• Design and implement high-performance REST and GraphQL APIs that stream real-time data.
• Own feature delivery end-to-end from scoping to deployment and production support.
• Maintain software quality, observability, and reliability on AWS with Docker, CI/CD, and Datadog.
• Integrate AI-assisted engineering workflows to accelerate development and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, and Engineers to translate product vision into scalable software.
