Job summary

Deutsche Bank is hiring a Full Stack Engineer (React) for London & Birmingham. You will design and deliver responsive React/TypeScript interfaces, while collaborating with business stakeholders and other technologists to ensure robust system designs for Trade Finance and Lending.

You will contribute to Java back-end APIs, implement best practices, and advance test automation with DevOps to drive continuous improvements in a dynamic, globally connected Corporate Bank environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on in building production UIs with React/TypeScript, modern JavaScript
• Experience translating UX designs into responsive interfaces
• Experience with Java back-end APIs and integration points
• Familiarity with SDLC tools (Bitbucket, Jira, Artifactory, TeamCity)
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and deliver value iteratively

Full Stack Engineer (React) - Trade Finance and Lending

Location: London & Birmingham

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) is one of the leading business departments in the Corporate Bank, working with clients around the globe. It has critical dependencies on IT platforms to service the Bank’s clients. You will work closely with a collaborative team of engineers and engage directly with business and technology stakeholders to understand priorities and deliver key applications for the Corporate Bank. The software components and architecture you contribute to will provide the foundations for extending the wider Trade Finance application landscape and help establish Trade Finance and Lending as a flagship implementation within the Corporate Bank.

Your key responsibilities

• Being hands-on in designing and delivering responsive React and TypeScript user interfaces
• Identifying and resolving barriers to business deliveries and implementing solutions which iteratively deliver value
• Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and fellow technologists to achieve robust system designs
• Implementing and sharing software development best practices across the React front end and Java back end.
• Partnering with teams to advance test automation strategies and with DevOps to enhance continuous improvements

Your skills and experience

• Strong hands-on experience building production user interfaces with React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript, including reusable component design, state management, Application Programming Interface (API) integration and automated front-end testing
• Practical experience contributing to Java back-end applications, including Core Java, standard libraries, industry-standard frameworks, design patterns and the development or integration of APIs used by front-end applications
• Experience translating User Experience (UX) and Figma designs into accessible, responsive and maintainable web interfaces.
• Solid understanding of the modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tool stack, including Bitbucket, Jira, Artifactory, TeamCity
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
