Position: Full Stack Engineer (Angular + Node.js)

Location: Remote (UK-based) with occasional team meetups in Manchester/London

Hours: 40 hours/week

Language: English (fluent)

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000, depending on experience

Overview

At MYT Shutters, we are expanding our software engineering team. We develop in-house advanced online ordering and automated production systems that are essential for our operations, enabling efficient processing of customer orders and optimizing manufacturing.

MYT Shutters is a rapidly growing shutter manufacturer with a global presence, including offices in Australia, The Netherlands, the UK, and China. We operate our own factory in China and develop innovative products.

About the Role

We are hiring a Full Stack Engineer to develop and scale our manufacturing and logistics platform. You will primarily work with Angular (front end) and Node.js/GraphQL (back end) in a structured monorepo. The role involves full-stack responsibilities, suitable for someone with 2–3 years of experience and a strong foundation in modern front-end development.

• Tooling: Nx monorepo, Playwright, GitHub Actions, CI/CD

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain features across front and back end
• Collaborate with users and teams to refine and deliver functionality
• Write clear, testable, modular code
• Enhance GraphQL APIs and backend services
• Contribute to architecture and component design
• Debug and optimize performance
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 2+ years software development experience
• 1+ year Angular (v10+) experience
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills
• Familiar with RxJS and reactive programming
• Experience with APIs (REST or GraphQL)
• Some Node.js back-end experience or willingness to learn
• Good understanding of SOLID principles and architecture
• Proficient with Git and source control
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication in a remote team
• Ability to own features end-to-end

Desirable:

• Experience with GraphQL (Apollo)
• PostgreSQL or relational databases
• Familiarity with AWS
• Nx monorepo experience
• Testing with Playwright, Jest, etc.
• Experience with ERP, manufacturing, or production systems
• DevOps, CI/CD experience
