I am working with a brilliant tech company having a massive impact on carbon emissions and they are looking for a Full stack Developer to join them on their journey.

The Company

This remote first Tech for Good Software business are looking to scale their close-knit Engineering Team as sales are skyrocketing, they are expanding their product to accommodate client demand.

Little by little, they are making the world a better place. What started out as a small-scale project to improve the environment for future generations, has quickly become a nationally recognised essential for businesses and individuals who are passionate about making the world a better place.

Passionate about their mission, and passionate about Tech, they are building software to educate users, save them lots of money and help to improve the environment.

They were founded 7 years ago by technology professionals and have over 35 people across the business and 12 currently in their engineering team comprising of a CTO, 7 software developers across various levels and 3 DevOps engineers.

The Role

You may be asked to pop into the Central London office from time to time but other than that you will have full flexibility to work from home – anywhere in the UK is fine. You are more than welcome to work onsite more often if you prefer.

The role sits within the company’s core engineering team and will be the first of many Python hires within the business. As the company becomes more data heavy Python will be come more important to the business so to get ahead of the curve you will be responsible for migrating some of their existing systems on to Python. In addition, you will also be responsible for kickstarting a brand-new greenfield project building a new platform out in Python and Django. You will need to ensure that this fits in to the company’s architecture, is documented correctly and have appropriate processes surrounding this.

The company will be looking to expand the Python team throughout 2025 so this is a good opportunity to take ownership over a brand-new project within the business whilst enabling them to grow around you. To be considered you will need experience in the following:

Minimum 4+ years’ Industry experience
Experience with Django OR Flask (Django preferred)
Experience with Fullstack Devleopment
Ability to build highly scalable products
Experience with modern development practises CI/CD & TDD

The salary is dependent on experience in the range of £65,000 - £75,000.
