Qualifications

The role:

As a Full Stack Engineer at Cera, you’ll help build and improve the tools that support our carers and customers. You’ll play a key role in developing scalable, user-focused solutions that enhance the delivery of care.

You'll join our Scheduling Engineering team (with team members based around UK & Europe) alongside other engineers, product manager & designer. This requires a deep knowledge of our processes and a passion for using technology and people to improve them. Your work will have a huge impact on the way that care is experienced.

Responsibilities:

Develop scalable, reusable, and high-performance backend features and APIs

Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers

Write robust unit and integration tests (using Gherkin/SpecFlow)

Improve the codebase’s architecture, reliability, and testability

Contribute to system design and technical discussions

Support full-stack development efforts when needed

What we’re looking for:

You thrive in mission-driven organizations, working with collaborative teams who are passionate about utilising technology and building products to better the world around us. You are a strong communicator who is able to express their thoughts and ideas during meetings but also open to other points of view.

● 2–3 years of experience in software engineering

● Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core 3.1+

● Experience building production-grade backend systems

● Solid understanding of relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB) databases

● Comfortable working across the full stack

● Supporting your code by writing unit tests and integration tests utilizing Gherkin/SpecFlow

● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)

● Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) is a plus

● Working in agile environments
