This is an opportunity to take ownership across the full stack, working with React, Next.js, Node.js and TypeScript to build a technically complex financial product from an early stage.

  • Build backend services, APIs and integrations supporting lending workflows and financial processes.
  • Work with databases, data models and business logic to ensure reliable and secure applications.
  • Write automated tests, participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
  • Contribute to technical architecture, infrastructure and CI/CD workflows.
  • Collaborate with product and commercial stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Take ownership of features from design and development through to deployment and ongoing improvement.
Requirements

  • Experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, performance and maintainable code.
  • Comfortable working in an early stage startup where requirements evolve and engineers take ownership.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non technical teams.
  • A degree in computer science, software engineering or a relevant subject is essential.
  • Experience in fintech, lending, banking or other regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Playwright, automated testing and production monitoring.
  • Knowledge of authentication systems such as Keycloak and OpenID Connect.
  • Experience using AI assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
  • Blockchain or early stage startup experience.
