Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building production web applications with TypeScript and React, focusing on backend development.
• Strong Node.js background in backend architecture, API development, and system logic.
• Solid SQL skills with relational databases and query optimization.
• Experience in Financial Services or Wealth Management preferred.
• Exposure to cloud and DevOps toolchains: AWS (EKS), Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale production web applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Design and maintain reliable relational database schemas; optimize complex SQL queries.

Managing over £1.6 billion in client assets and trusted by over 4,000 families, our client provides personable financial advice and top-tier investment management services. As they continue to expand their digital platform, they are looking for a backend-centric engineer to build and scale the systems powering their core financial services.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and scaling production web applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Designing and maintaining reliable relational database schemas and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to modernise the technical infrastructure behind their wealth management solutions.
• Taking end-to-end ownership of features—asking questions, bringing ideas, and driving engineering best practices.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years commercial experience building production web applications using TypeScript and React, with a clear bias toward backend development.
