Hadean is a deep-tech company building distributed computing for real-time simulation, training, and digital twin capabilities. The dominAI team delivers a next-generation command and control platform, embedding AI and simulation into the C2 workflow for faster decision cycles.

You'll work in a cross-functional team across AI, simulation, and infrastructure, owning features end to end with mentorship and growth opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

As a Full Stack Developer/ Full Stack Software Engineer in the dominAI team, you will build across the full stack of our next-generation command and control platform. This is a system that enables commanders to plan and assess targeting outcomes in minutes rather than hours by embedding AI and large-scale simulation directly into the C2 workflow. You will work within a cross-functional team of AI, simulation, and infrastructure specialists, contributing to backend services that integrate with diverse simulation and analysis pipelines and to the web interfaces through which commanders and staff interact with those capabilities. You will own features end to end, supported by senior engineers who invest in your growth through mentorship, pairing and code review. As your judgement across the stack develops, so will the scope you take on.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the dominAI web application using React and TypeScript, building reliable and performant interfaces for complex operational data.
• Build and extend backend services in Node.js that integrate with AI inference pipelines and simulation systems.
• Own well-scoped features end to end - from refining the requirement through to shipping and supporting it in use.
• Work with the team to plan and execute development sprints, and provide well-reasoned estimates for your own work.
• Collaborate with UX designers to create clear, high-impact interfaces for complex data sets.
• Maintain a high bar for quality through automated and manual testing, in collaboration with QA and through code review.
• Grow your skills across the stack through pairing and code review with senior engineers.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience building web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Working proficiency in Node.js - comfortable contributing to backend services, not just consuming them.
• Strong communication skills - able to explain your work to engineers and stakeholders; quick to ask good questions and surface issues.
• Curious and quick to learn - you actively seek feedback and act on it.
• Ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Vetted status to at least SC level.
• Willingness to attend our office in Shoreditch at least once a week.

What will help you stand out

• Experience with:
• Frontend tooling we use: Vite
• API design, data modelling, or backend integration patterns.
• Component and styling libraries e.g. MUI, Tailwind.
• Integrating with or building around AI services or simulation platforms.
• Evidence of advocating for best practices or improving the team you were in.
• Interest or familiarity with the defence sector, Military Modelling and Simulation, or C2 systems.
• An interest in travelling to support customer deployments, hackathons, and industry events.
