Job summary

TrueNorth UK is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team in London on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role blends strong front-end work with back-end support, focusing on existing products while the team builds a major new digital platform.

You’ll work with React and Node.js, contribute to testing and quality, and collaborate with Product, UX/UI and QA to deliver features in a hybrid London environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ commercial software engineering experience.
• Strong front-end focus with React (any framework).
• Full-stack development experience with Node.js.
• Good understanding of software testing and quality (TDD).
• Experience with unit and/or integration testing.

Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer – React / Node.js

£60,000 | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | London | Hybrid – 2 days onsite near Farringdon, London

We’re working with a healthcare-focused organisation that develops digital products designed to make complex healthcare information more accessible and useful.

They’re looking for a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer to join their engineering team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is a full-stack position with a strong front-end lean, primarily working across existing products, delivering enhancements and BAU development while the wider team focuses on a major new digital platform.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and enhancing existing web applications, with a strong focus on front-end development
• Building features using React and related frameworks
• Supporting backend development within a Node.js environment
• Working closely with Product, UX/UI and QA teams to take user stories through development, testing and release
• Writing and improving unit and integration tests
• Working within an environment where quality, testing and reliability are prioritised over simply shipping quickly
• Contributing to applications hosted within Microsoft Azure

What we're looking for
