Overview

Role title: Full-Stack Developer (SC Cleared)

Location: Hybrid - Bristol or London

Sector: Public

Clearance Required: MOD SC

Contract Duration: 5 months

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a secure, high-impact public sector project. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using modern technologies across both front-end and back-end stacks. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and a commitment to clean, maintainable code within a cloud-native environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, efficient web applications
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers to deliver seamless user experiences
• Implement front-end solutions using modern frameworks and languages
• Build and maintain back-end services, APIs, and databases
• Work within cloud-native micro-services architecture deployed on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and ArgoCD
• Optimise application performance for speed and scalability
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality
• Stay current with industry trends and share best practices with the team

Required skills

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Proficiency in front-end technologies and frameworks (React required)
• Strong back-end development skills (Java and Node.js required)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Experience with containerisation and DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Open Shift
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Desirable skills

• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
