Junior Full Stack Developer - React.js

Location: Milton Keynes

Working Structure: Hybrid (1 day onsite per week)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you passionate about front-end development and ready to build high-impact public sector solutions? We're seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer with a front-end focus (React.js) to join our growing, highly skilled team. You'll spend most of your time building engaging, responsive web applications in React.js, while gaining experience working across the full stack with Java and Python back-end services.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain modern, user-focused front-end applications using React.js and TypeScript.
• Contribute to full-stack development (20-30%) using Java and Python for APIs and server-side services.
• Collaborate with solution architects, designers, and clients to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps best practices.
• Deploy and support applications across Microsoft and Linux environments.
• Build secure, high-performance applications that meet public sector standards.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Exposure to back-end development with Java and/or Python (or strong willingness to learn).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, and cloud-based application development.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools.
• Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC required; DV clearance a plus).
  
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe) and public sector DevOps practices.
• Interest or experience in data modeling, software virtualization, and microservices.
