Full Stack Developer | Birmingham | £70K | .NET, React & GraphQL | AI-Assisted Delivery | Hybrid
Under new ownership, the business is in the middle of a deliberate modernisation programme. The platform is moving forward, the delivery model is changing, and the person joining now gets to shape what that looks like — not implement a blueprint someone else drew up.
The stack is React, .NET/C#, SQL Server with stored procedures, and GraphQL on top of the API layer. It's a genuinely interesting combination, and the engineering work spans all of it.
What makes this different is the delivery model. The business wants someone already building with AI coding agents — taking a requirement, working it into user stories with an agent, generating code and tests, reviewing and shipping it. You'd own the coding standards and guardrails that keep that process consistent across the team. That's not a nice-to-have; it's the whole point of hiring for this role now.
The codebase includes legacy code, so anyone who finds that daunting is probably not the right fit. Azure, containers, and DevOps pipelines are nice-to-haves.
The flexibility here is genuine, not a policy that gets quietly walked back. If you want autonomy over your hours as much as your code, that's built into how this team operates.
Strong communication matters as much as strong code. Worth knowing upfront.
