Base pay range

We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to join our team at BEAUTY BAY.

In this role, you will drive the technical advancement of BEAUTY BAY’s front-end and back-end systems, and be responsible for the daily operation, enhancement, and maintenance of our website and mobile application. Your responsibilities include developing new functionalities, fixing bugs, and maintaining existing systems. You should be able to work seamlessly within a team, participate in technical discussions, and communicate complex technical concepts in understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.

The scope of this role extends beyond the website and app to include custom back-office software and third-party API integrations essential for business operations. You will also collaborate closely with the Cloud Operations Team to integrate infrastructure and website technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement new features for BEAUTY BAY’s website and app.
• Maintain and update the website and app.
• Manage and optimize APIs and services.
• Support and enhance back-office systems.
• Oversee third-party integrations, such as feeds and SaaS platforms.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure Team to align infrastructure and website activities.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Strong experience with modern CSS is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in React, using functions and hooks.
• Experience working with REST APIs.
• Knowledge of application and API performance optimization.
• Experience in a full-stack development environment.
• Familiarity with AWS services and APIs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and software craftsmanship.
• Experience with headless CMS is a plus but not essential.
• Experience in e-commerce is highly advantageous.
