Join us as a Full Stack Developer at Barclays in Glasgow, where we have a dynamic team focused on end-to-end deliveries of innovative solutions. We are currently 7 people strong and growing. Typically, the colleagues deal in various in-house solutions ranging from cloud solutions to in-house hosted solutions.

To be successful as a Full Stack Developer, you should have experience with:

  • Python, integration, and automation
  • SQL Server experience and knowledge
  • DevOps tools such as GitLab

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience with Angular/React
  • Linux
  • Tableau

This role will be based out of our Glasgow office.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop, and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
  • Participation in code reviews and promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Staying informed of industry technology trends and actively contributing to the organization’s technology communities.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure code quality and reliability.
