Job summary

Stellar Select Ltd. is seeking a mid-level Full Stack Developer to join a small in-house tech team in Borehamwood. You will own features end-to-end across Laravel backend and Vue frontend, handling live systems with personal and financial data.

The role focuses on lending platforms, broker and investor journeys, and internal dashboards, with opportunities to learn new technologies and grow within a collaborative on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with PHP and Laravel (8+), including Eloquent, migrations, queues and events.
• Experience building applications with Vue 3, including components and state management.
• Good working knowledge of MySQL, including queries, indexes and basic performance considerations.
• Experience working with REST APIs and webhooks.
• Comfortable using Git, working with branches and participating in code reviews.
• A careful approach to production systems and customer data, with a habit of checking and testing your work before release.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new features, enhancements and fixes across key platform workflows, including lending and ledger processes.
• Build and enhance reporting dashboards within our Vite/Vue reporting application.
• Develop background processing and queue-based jobs, automated reporting, and PDF and Excel document generation.
• Develop and maintain third-party integrations, including KYC/AML providers, open banking services and notifications.
• Gradually increase automated test coverage to improve reliability, maintainability and confidence in releases.
• Continuously improve and optimise the frontend build and development experience as the platform evolves.

Job Title: Full Stack Developer

Location: Borehamwood

Salary: Up to £45,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm

About the role of Full Stack Developer:

We are looking for a mid-level Full Stack Developer to join a small, in-house technology team based in Borehamwood. The role involves building and maintaining core lending platforms and reporting systems across borrower, broker and investor journeys, loan administration, broker onboarding, and internal dashboards used by sales and underwriting teams. You will own features end to end, working across the Laravel backend and Vue frontend, on live systems handling personal and financial data.

Responsibilities for the role of Full Stack Developer:

• Deliver new features, enhancements and fixes across key platform workflows, including lending and ledger processes, borrower and investor dashboards, document generation, and broker and introducer journeys.
• Build and enhance reporting dashboards within our Vite/Vue reporting application, taking features from data querying and processing through to intuitive charts and tables.
• Develop background processing and queue-based jobs, automated reporting, and PDF and Excel document generation.
• Develop and maintain third-party integrations, including KYC/AML providers, open banking services such as Plaid, Companies House, and Microsoft Teams notifications.
• Gradually increase automated test coverage to improve reliability, maintainability and confidence in releases.
• Continuously improve and optimise the frontend build and development experience as the platform evolves.

Experience required for the role of Full Stack Developer:

• Experience in financial services, lending or property finance - or an interest in learning the industry.
