Job summary

LaraBench is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer to join its in-house tech team in Borehamwood. You will own features across Laravel back-end and Vue frontend, building dashboards and reporting tools used by multiple business units.

You will work on data pipelines, third‑party integrations, and automated tests while ensuring robust performance and code quality. Office-based role with ownership of critical platforms.

Qualifications

• Proficient in PHP with Laravel 8+ and Eloquent.
• Strong experience with Vue 3 frontend and component design.
• Solid SQL skills and performance awareness for MySQL.
• Ability to consume/integrate REST APIs and webhooks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core business platforms and dashboards.

MID-LEVEL FULL STACK DEVELOPER

Following continued year-on-year growth, the business is going from strength to strength and is now looking for a talented Mid-Level Full Stack Developer to join its small, collaborative in-house technology team.

The Role

As a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company's core business platforms and reporting applications.

Working across both the Laravel backend and Vue front end, you will take ownership of features from initial development through to deployment. The systems support a range of customer and partner journeys, administration processes, reporting and internal dashboards used by teams across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver new features, enhancements and fixes across core business workflows, customer-facing dashboards, document generation and partner journeys.
• Develop new reporting dashboards within the Vite/Vue reporting application, taking features from data queries through to charts, tables and user-facing functionality.
• Build and maintain queue jobs, background reporting processes and PDF and Excel generation.
• Work with a variety of third-party integrations and external APIs.
• Help increase automated test coverage and improve the front-end build as the platform continues to evolve.
• Take ownership of features throughout the development lifecycle while working closely with colleagues and the people who use the systems day to day.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of a mature and business-critical codebase.

Essential Skills & Experience

• PHP and Laravel 8+, including Eloquent, migrations, queues, events and Blade.
• Vue 3, including single-file components, Composition or Options API and component state.
• MySQL, with experience writing non-trivial queries and an understanding of indexes and query performance.
• Consuming, integrating and debugging third-party REST APIs and webhooks.
• Git, branch-based development and code review.
• Working carefully with live production systems and sensitive data.
• Taking a thorough, verify-before-you-ship approach to development.

Desirable Experience

Experience with any of the following would be beneficial but is not essential:

• Tailwind CSS and component libraries such as shadcn/Reka UI.
• Data visualisation tools including ECharts, Chart.js or D3.
• Vite or legacy webpack/Laravel Mix.
• Redis, AWS (S3, Cognito) or Azure SQL.
• PHPUnit or Pest, with experience writing and maintaining automated tests.
