Job summary

microTECH Global LTD seeks an experienced hardware engineer to own the full lifecycle of product design, from concept through to production.

You will perform mixed analogue and digital design with microcontrollers, capture schematics in Altium Designer, and lead lab bring‑up, testing and measurements to ensure robust, compliant products.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with layout engineers to achieve DFx and EMC compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial background taking designs from concept to production.
• Mixed analogue and digital design with micro-controllers.
• Schematic capture using Altium Designer.
• Strong lab capabilities including fault finding and measurement.
• Power and processing: SMPS design and multi‑bit microprocessors.
• Awareness of SI/PI and EMC testing in high-speed designs.
• Experience with CAN, Ethernet, RS485 and USB protocols.

Responsibilities

• Full lifecycle design from initial concept and architecture to manufacturable product.
• Execute circuit design, component selection, worst‑case analysis, and simulation.
• Lab bring-up, testing, measurement, and fault finding.
• Guide PCB layout engineers; design for DFM/DFT, EMC, safety, and qualification.
• Interpret client specs, flag risks, provide technical effort estimates for quotes, and defend design choices in technical reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers as a technical reference point.
