Tesco is hiring a Shift Leader to join our UK stores. You will coordinate a team to deliver daily store activities, coach colleagues on customer service, and help ensure safety and high service standards.

We offer flexible hours with a minimum guaranteed 16 hours per week, and some roles allow 12 hours. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment with varied daily challenges and opportunities to progress.

Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from 14.76 an hour; this increases to 15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It's our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you'd like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.

The table shows the periods of time in the week we'd like you to be available to work the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you'll have 3 weeks' notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, therefore if the times you're available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we'd still love to hear from you.

As a Shift Leader, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will take ownership of activities by coordinating a team to deliver.

As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on the job coaching and feedback

You will have a great understanding of how your team is performing and be the expert in delivering practical actions for its improvement by taking a hands on approach.
