Speedy Fuels in Cookham is looking for an ADR Fuel Tanker Driver Class 1. Our Class 1 drivers are responsible for making multi-drop fuel deliveries in and around the areas of West London.

Salary:£42,000, increasing to £45,000 after 6 months.

Shift: Monday to Friday night shift. 10 hour shifts

Contact: This is a full-time permanent position with 25 days plus bank holidays of annual leave per year.

Key responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a fuel tanker to transport petroleum products to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tanker vehicle to ensure that it is in good working condition.
• Comply with all relevant safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including ADR and health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including trip logs, delivery receipts, and fuel receipts.
• Ensure the proper loading and unloading of the tanker vehicle, following all necessary procedures.
• Monitor the fuel level in the tanker and arrange for refueling as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor with other road users.
• Conduct periodic inspections of the tanker vehicle to identify any maintenance or repair needs and report them to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 license and Driver CPC.
• ADR training and certification.
• Clean UK driving record with no major violations or accidents.
• Strong knowledge of ADR and other relevant safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Physically fit and able to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and climbing.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
