Client Summary:
Leading manufacturer and front line supplier of powertrain products based in the UK and Ireland. Areas of expertise include Engine Overhaul, final Drive Overhaul and locomotive refurbishment

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Fuel Shop Team Supervisor. The individual should be familiar with the operation principles of various kinds of diesel engines, fuel system components such as Fuel Pumps and Injectors.

Roles can include:
Install and repair fuel systems and parts of systems.
Inspect fuel systems.
Troubleshoot Fuel System issues related to engine testing.
Audit test equipment used for Fuel Pump/Injector testing.
Document all work activities and Total Performance Maintenance.
Perform routine or preventive maintenance on fuel Pump/Injector test equipment.
Report results of Fuel Pump & Injector tests.
To work to, and support, all relevant 5S activities.
Adhere to a line managers' written or verbal reasonable instruction.
Maintain a good level of attendance at work.

Person Profile/Experience:
A strong mechanical background is required.
Good knowledge of fuel system components, calibration, phasing of different types of fuel pumps, conducting bench tests and preparing reports
Take on any other reasonable responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee's skills and abilities
To be able to contribute to the Team's performance
To have a friendly approach when working with others
The ability to work on own initiative

Qualifications:
Relevant engineering qualifications but not a necessity for an experienced person
Ideally NVQ / Apprenticeship Trained
