Job description

Gap Personnel are currently recruiting for 1 Fuel Shop Technician to work with our client based in Barton Under Needwood.

Details:

  • Competitive Salary
  • 44 hours (Monday to Thursday 7am to 5pm & Friday 7am to 1pm) to be decreased to 40 hours from 01.09.25 (Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm & Friday 7am to 1pm)
  • Temp to Perm position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring your own health and safety and that of others, promoting a positive health and safety culture within the workplace
  • Ensure all health and safety obligations are met and company policies are adhered to
  • Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents, and incidents by the end of that shift to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence
  • Ensure activities and associated actions and measures do not endanger but assist with the upkeep and maintaining the company’s ISO (9001, 14001, and 45001) standards and certification
  • Document all work activities and Total Performance Maintenance
  • Troubleshoot fuel system issues related to engine testing
  • Install and repair fuel systems and parts of systems
  • Inspect fuel systems
  • Audit test equipment used for Fuel Pump/Injector testing
  • Perform routine or preventive maintenance on fuel Pump/Injector test equipment
  • Report results of Fuel Pump & Injector tests
  • Undertake training as required
  • Mentor trainees/apprentices when applicable
  • Comply with company and statutory Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and HR policies and procedures
  • Support all relevant 5S activities
  • Adhere to line managers’ written or verbal instructions
  • Maintain good attendance at work

The Person:

  • Ability to work within a changing environment with deadlines and short lead times
  • Good knowledge of fuel system components, calibration, phasing of different types of fuel pumps, conducting bench tests, and preparing reports
  • Contribute to team performance
