Job summary

Hannon Transport Limited is seeking a Fuel Manager to oversee fuel and AdBlue purchasing, usage, and security for the HT and HL fleets, including trucks and trailers. You will coordinate with drivers, depot management, and Finance to optimise costs and sustainability.

You will monitor prices, reconcile invoices, and drive reporting and KPI improvements through telematics and audits. Based in Aghalee with travel as needed, typical Mon-Fri schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport operations, fleet management or fuel management.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify cost savings.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel, fuel management systems and transport management systems to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to engage drivers and influence operational behaviour positively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor diesel and AdBlue purchasing and usage across the HT and HL fleets.
• Communicate preferred filling locations to drivers and manage fuel maps where available.
• Review supplier fills and investigate discrepancies; support cost reduction initiatives.
• Maintain fuel card records and reconcile invoices to ensure accuracy and VAT/subsidy compliance.
• Use telematics data to monitor fuel efficiency and provide driver coaching where needed.
• Produce regular management reports on fuel purchasing, consumption and costs.
