Job summary

Edge Recruits is assisting a leading UK fuel distributor in Plymouth to recruit an experienced HGV Class C ADR Driver. You will operate company vehicles safely, load and discharge fuel, and ensure compliance with ADR, tachograph, and safety policies.

The role is full-time and permanent with a Monday–Friday pattern, plus additional hours during peak periods. Attractive benefits include private healthcare, pension, life assurance, and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Flexibility to work increased hours during peak periods.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and vehicle maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles safely and courteously, following all legislation and company guidelines.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained in a safe and legal condition.
• Report any accidents or incidents promptly.
• Manage challenging delivery conditions and report unsafe sites.
• Load and discharge fuel in line with company policy and procedures.
• Load from terminals and take fuel samples at terminal and site.
• Obtain customer signatures before delivery commencement.
