Job summary

GoFibre is expanding its full fibre network and looking for an experienced FTTP Install Engineer to join our growing team. If you’re passionate about delivering high-quality outdoor installations and great customer experience, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll install and commission FTTP services, handle fibre cabling, splicing and testing, and work on overhead and underground networks while maintaining safety standards and documenting work.

Qualifications

• Experience with FTTP networks.
• Fibre splicing and testing experience.
• Knowledge of overhead and underground network installation.
• Experience using fibre testing equipment (OTDR).
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission FTTP broadband services.
• Fibre cabling, blowing, splicing and termination activities.
• Testing and fault-finding using OTDR and fibre testing equipment.
• Working on overhead and underground PIA networks.
• Completing site surveys and installation documentation.
• Maintaining high Health & Safety standards at all times.

What you'll be doing

As an FTTP Install Engineer, you'll play a key role in connecting homes and businesses to GoFibre's full fibre network. Working independently and alongside colleagues, you'll be responsible for delivering safe, professional and high-quality installations from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing and commissioning FTTP broadband services
• Fibre cabling, blowing, splicing and termination activities
• Testing and fault-finding using OTDR and fibre testing equipment
• Working on overhead and underground PIA networks
• Completing site surveys and installation documentation
• Maintaining high Health & Safety standards at all times
• Delivering an exceptional customer experience during every visit
• Ensuring all work is completed to company and industry standards

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who already has hands‑on experience within fibre installation and can confidently work in both customer-facing and network environments.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience working on FTTP networks
• Fibre splicing and testing experience
• Knowledge of overhead and underground network installation
• Experience using OTDR and fibre testing equipment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Great communication and customer service skills
