Job summary

GoFibre is expanding its full fibre network across Scotland and seeks an experienced FTTP Install Engineer to join the growing team. You will deliver safe, high-quality installations outdoors, connecting homes and businesses to the GoFibre network, with daily travel around Aberdeenshire.

You’ll work independently and with colleagues, performing fibre splicing, testing with OTDR, site surveys, and ensuring health and safety standards while delivering an excellent customer experience during every

Qualifications

• Experience working on FTTP networks.
• Fibre splicing and testing experience.
• Knowledge of overhead and underground network installation.
• Experience using OTDR and fibre testing equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Great communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning FTTP broadband services
• Fibre cabling, blowing, splicing and termination activities
• Testing and fault‑finding using OTDR and fibre testing equipment
• Working on overhead and underground PIA networks
• Completing site surveys and installation documentation
• Maintaining high Health & Safety standards at all times
• Delivering an exceptional customer experience during every visit
• Ensuring all work is completed to company and industry standards

What you’ll be doing

As an FTTP Install Engineer, you’ll play a key role in connecting homes and businesses to GoFibre’s full fibre network. Working independently and alongside colleagues, you’ll be responsible for delivering safe, professional and high-quality installations from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing and commissioning FTTP broadband services
• Fibre cabling, blowing, splicing and termination activities
• Testing and fault‑finding using OTDR and fibre testing equipment
• Working on overhead and underground PIA networks
• Completing site surveys and installation documentation
• Maintaining high Health & Safety standards at all times
• Delivering an exceptional customer experience during every visit
• Ensuring all work is completed to company and industry standards

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who already has hands‑on experience within fibre installation and can confidently work in both customer‑facing and network environments.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience working on FTTP networks
• Fibre splicing and testing experience
• Knowledge of overhead and underground network installation
• Experience using OTDR and fibre testing equipment
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
• Great communication and customer service skills
