Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to run a Children’s Home for 12 months. This role is for an established home with a ‘Good’ Ofsted regulation, ensuring high standards of service delivery. In line with the company ethos, the Registered Manager will focus on quality, service excellence, business development, and driving commercial success.

We are working on behalf of a reputable company known for providing exceptional standards of care for children with EBD. They are committed to the children's future and aim to achieve outstanding results.

This position requires a Children’s Home Manager or Deputy Manager with proven Ofsted experience and team leadership skills. The service has a full team but needs a strong leader to continue implementing recent changes.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure compliance with Safeguarding Children’s procedures and promote an open culture.
  2. Adhere to Health and Safety policies at all times.
  3. Meet training and Health and Safety compliance targets.
  4. Manage a fully compliant service according to legislation and regulation.
  5. Follow all company policies and procedures.
  6. Maintain and promote the company’s good reputation.
  7. Act professionally, with integrity, respecting confidentiality.
  8. Participate in the ‘out of hours’ on-call roster.
Key Skills and Experience:
  1. QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health & Social Care/Children & Young People’s Workforce.
  2. Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation for young people's services.
  3. Proven success managing similar childcare facilities, with a track record of delivering ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings.
  4. Experience working with children with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties.
  5. Effective communication skills at all levels.
  6. Strong staff management and budgetary skills.
