Job summary

TT Electronics PLC in the United Kingdom is offering an apprenticeship in Finance focused on learning the fundamentals of the Accounts Payable function within a manufacturing environment.

During the 1 year 6 month program, you'll reconcile invoices, process employee expenses, maintain supplier data and support month-end activities. The scheme includes on-the-job training, classroom sessions with City of Sunderland College, and potential progression to a permanent Accounts Payable role.

Qualifications

  • Essential GCSE English (4-9).
  • Essential GCSE Maths (4-9).
  • Apprenticeship level 3 in Business and administration.
  • Training provider: City of Sunderland College.
  • Working hours: Mon-Thu 8:00–16:30, Fri 8:00–13:00.
  • Expected duration: 1 Year 6 Months.
  • Course: Business administrator (level 3).

Introduction

This role is a step into the world of Finance. The role will be focused on learning the fundamentals of the Accounts Payable function within a large manufacturing business for one or more of our global locations.

What You'll Do
  • Reconciliation and processing of Purchase order invoices
  • Seeking approval and processing of Non-Purchase order invoices
  • Processing of employee expenses
  • Processing of company credit card expenses
  • Following-up on supplier queries
  • Supplier payments & employee expense payments
  • Preparing proposals and reports in ERP system
  • Uploading to online banking system
  • Send remittance advice to suppliers
  • Ensuring supplier payments are made on time
  • Maintaining supplier master data
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Month End Processes:
  • GRIR review and reconciliation
  • Blocked list review
  • Account reconciliations
  • Aged creditor reporting o Intercompany trade matching
  • Payables cashflow forecasting
  • Assisting with monthly KPI preparation
  • Assist with required internal and external audit requests
Training Outcome
  • There may be the possibility of a full time, permanent role available as an Accounts Payable Specialist within the Finance Service Centre upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
