Job description

A market leader in their sector, our client is an established and highly successful Fresh Produce supplier, working with an exciting portfolio of fresh fruit products that are destined for the UK retailers. We are currently seeking a Fruit Crop Supply Administrator to strengthen their supply planning team.

The position of Fruit Crop Supply Administrator will become integral to the fast-paced function and will work closely with the Supply Forecasting & Planning team, providing fundamental support.

Responsibilities include;

  • Focus on field forecasting by making weekly field visits to collect production data from the crops and project accurate volumes for the business.
  • Support on weekly analysis of the crop development and weather impact will be used to accurately predict the production volume of each crop per grower, farm, variety, and treatment in the region.
  • Update the database of the productive area of the current season, pre-season projections and platform tools used for the short-term forecast and for the strategic process.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and ensure continuous improvement in the forecast process and numbers.
  • Support the short-term and mid-term supply forecasting & planning process with data needed.
  • Close connection with the Growers, Operations, Supply Chain team and other relevant stakeholders.

We require;

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Agriculture with knowledge of Data Analytics and Statistics
  • Work experience in Horticulture crops, data analysis, crop science or fresh produce
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, combining agronomy, meteorology and data science.
  • Flexibility to work in diverse environments (office and field).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and collaboration, and the ability to maintain strong working relationships as both an individual contributor and team member

Hours; Monday to Friday, 8-5
Location; This role will be office based (30%) in Kent and field visits (70%) with occasional travel to other production regions across the country.

A full driving licence is essential
Salary; £35k + car
