Job Description:

Are you an inspirational and innovative leader looking to join a dynamic team? UK Power Networks is seeking a Lead Field Engineer to manage a shifted team working under the London Collective Agreement and the Wider Working Window shift arrangement. This role is based in our Stratford East London office and offers a competitive salary of £94,904 + shift + London allowances + benefits and a 3% bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the coordination and performance of shifted field engineers and dispatch teams.
  • Ensure work is carried out safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Maintain highest levels of customer service by resolving escalated technical issues.
  • Liaise with area-based teams, network operations, and local scheduling teams.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Provide engineering, safety, and management leadership to field engineers.
  • Improve field engineering standards and develop field engineers through coaching and mentoring.
  • Deputise for the Area Manager and liaise with Network Planners.
  • Promote safety management and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Coordinate with regional schedulers for efficient delivery of connections, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
  • High degree of experience in field engineering and initiative towards meeting business targets.
  • Inspiring leadership and high professional conduct standards.
  • Good communication skills and ability to resolve problems collaboratively.
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Full SAP at 11KV, preferably in LPN.

Candidates lacking all the required qualifications but possessing necessary experience may still be considered, with the opportunity to undertake further studies. A clean driving license and IT literacy are essential.
