Job summary

Coventry City Council in the West Midlands is hiring HGV Class 2 Drivers on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll join our Waste Services team delivering essential waste and recycling collections across Coventry, Nuneaton and Bedworth.

Qualifications

• A current Category C (Class 2) HGV Licence.
• A valid Driver CPC.
• The ability to work safely in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of waste and recycling collection operations.
• Confidence using mobile technology and completing operational records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver waste and recycling services across Coventry, Nuneaton, Bedworth and surrounding areas.
• Work with collection crews and interact with residents and businesses.
• Help keep our services running safely and efficiently.
