Job summary

Coventry City Council is hiring an HGV Class 2 Driver for a full-time permanent role, delivering waste and recycling services across Coventry, Nuneaton and Bedworth. Salary £30,023 – £35,570 with contractual overtime.

You will work front line with collection crews, interacting with residents and businesses to ensure a reliable, high‑quality service every day, in a safe outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Category C (Class 2) HGV licence is required.
• Driver CPC is required.
• Ability to work safely in an outdoor environment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with using mobile devices to complete records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver waste and recycling services as part of a frontline team across Coventry, Nuneaton and Bedworth.
• Work with collection crews and interact with residents and businesses to ensure reliable service.
• Operate safely and efficiently, completing operational records on mobile devices.
